I will stamp all over 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest financial successes, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual stare-down, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly going ahead.
